The Ford Ranger Raptor features Shock Absorber from fox suspension, which are an internal bypass style shock absorber and are therefore height sensitive in their ride control. When additional accessories like front steel bars, or rear tub accessories are fitted, the ride height of the vehicle is altered, which in turn alters the performance of the shock absorber. Tough dog coil springs are designed to return the vehicle to the original ride height to maintain the ride quality and should therefore only be fitted in the event that the appropriate level of accessory or other permanent load is present to ensure that the vehicle’s ride is not adversely affected.
